Biography

Elisabete Cargnello known as LISA.C was born on February 14, 1973. It was during adolescence that she discovered a passion for drawing and more particularly for portraits.

Self-taught, she explores different techniques from charcoal to ink to finish with oil painting associated with collages of old newspapers, thus creating small commented stagings which will be sometimes tender, sometimes comical.

Very influenced by the advertisements of the 1950s, she tries to recreate within her canvases this atmosphere of yesteryear, light and whimsical. His painting is halfway between realism and comics. Through his pieces, the artist strives to highlight the beauty of women, drawing inspiration from the character of La Pin-up.

Elisabete Cargnello is mainly based in France, she has been able to exhibit her works both nationally and in Belgium. Additionally, his art has been featured in publications such as Nitro Magazine and Pleasure to Paint.

Her painting is for her a way to share with the viewer, the humor and sometimes the tenderness of everyday scenes.
