Nana Tonnelier

France • 1967

Nana Tonnelier is a visual artist, working with the techniques of painting, collage and animated images.

Biography

After a stint at the University of Saint Charles Paris I and the Beaux-Arts in Toulouse, she joined L'Usine in Toulouse in 1994, a place for creating live shows, where she trained in puppet and set construction, elements that she added to her activity as an independent creator.

Strongly influenced in her youth by the old masters, initiated by her father, an amateur copyist, and by extracurricular classes at the Louvre from the age of 8 to 13, she developed a pictorial research around the association of timeless images, which reveal the chaos of our world crossed by invisible forces.
