Louiza Nazef

France

Under the name Petits Pebbles, Louiza Nazef transforms pebbles, driftwood and polished glass into poetic compositions that celebrate nature, intimate connections and the memory of simple emotions.

Biography

Louiza Nazef works under the name Petits Pebbles, in the Yvelines department (Saint Germain en Laye). She works primarily with pebbles, sea-polished glass, driftwood, ink, and thread, creating minimalist and poetic works inspired by nature and childhood memories.

Her creations evoke themes such as friendship, family, nature, and intimate connection, often through simple compositions evoking scenes from life and buried emotions. She favors the use of natural and modest materials—pebbles, driftwood, and thread—to convey a strong aesthetic and emotional message despite their formal simplicity. The art of pebbles, polished glass, and driftwood is born from the encounter between the sea and time. Each element, shaped by waves and wind, carries a silent story. Gently assembled, they become scenes from life, bursts of tenderness, or suspended memories. It is a simple poetry, made of humble material and true emotions, which invites us to look differently at the treasures that nature places at our feet.
