Biography

Born in 1973, Annemarie Laffont is a French artist of Dutch origin.

She studied architecture at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, where art history played an important role.

After starting out with architectural drawings in India ink and animal portraits in oil, she settled in the south of France. At that time, painting remained just a hobby as she explored other techniques such as watercolor and acrylic.

From then on, acrylic on cotton canvas remained his preferred technique. His favorite subject is the animal, combined with a touch of humor.

After painting in a traditional style for many years, she is increasingly inspired by abstract and especially geometric styles. Lines, curves, shapes, and colors make her works captivating and harmonious compositions. Everything is in the proportions, as in architecture.

She sees her works as puzzles, challenges for the viewer to find or recognize the different parts of animals within a play of intersecting and blending shapes and lines. It is also possible to discover paintings created using acrylic drips, another technique she occasionally employs.

She is an artist listed in the Akoun directory.
