Sophie Mabille

It was written that Sophie, a 7th century child, would one day join the gallery. She grew up a stone's throw from our picture rails, attended the Lycée Victor Duruy, but also and above all the swimming and handball teams of the Racing Club de France, whose headquarters are rue Eblé, not really far away.

She was twelve when she took her first photos and this passion will never leave her.

A little later, still at the Lycée, she uses her free time to assist the photographer Bernard Esclapez. As soon as she graduated, she even devoted her days to it, relegating her studies to evening classes despite her father's disapproval.

She then left for New York, where she lived for six years, officially to work on her English, but immediately enrolled in the School of visual arts.

Back, she finds under parental pressure, a "real" job.

She will put her eye in the service of the marketing of prestigious brands, Dior to begin with, more in the register of space planning, and runs the world for the illustrious brand.

She continues with others, before deciding, in 2003, that she wants to take her destiny back in hand and reconnect with photography that she no longer wants to practice anymore, but first and only.

Since then, she has pursued her career as a visual artist with the primary objective of transcending the banality of everyday life. Naturally, from time to time, in this daily life there is sport, or at least places where it is practiced. His images on this theme have found their home.
