Bronze Sculpture for Sale
Gega Paksashvili is a Georgian artist born in 1963 who lives and works in Tbilisi, Georgia. At the early stage of the development of humanity, yellow color was considered as a symbol of the sun. However, after the ethnic and religious segregation and development of civilizations, this color has acquired various meanings and implications in different cultures. In some places it is perceived as a symbol of happiness, while in other cultures yellow is associated with grief and mourning. Yet, in any case, due to its intensity and vibrancy, yellow immediately attracts the attention of the viewer. After the 20th century in our largely consumer and ad-driven society, yellow is often used with a warning function. The alerting nature of the particular color is an inspiration, which is behind this series of works united under the common name “Yellow". The same idea determined the overall aesthetics of the works, which mingles street art and poster style in easel paintings.
