Elisa Filomena

Born in Turin, where she lives and works, Elisa Filomena graduated from the city's Academy of Fine Arts in 2002. Her work has circulated widely internationally (Germany, France, the United States, Belgium, and the United Kingdom) and is featured in several public and private collections. In 2022, she was honored by the prestigious New York-based Pollock-Krasner Foundation.

For nearly twenty years, Filomena has pursued a relentless research into the human figure and nature. She draws inspiration from old photographs, which she transposes into pictorial visions where reality is blurred. Her paintings open a space where time seems suspended, inviting silent contemplation. Between tranquility, dream, and survival, Elisa Filomena's pictorial universe embodies fragile presences, on the edge of oblivion.
