Biography

This “living ethnopolaroïdophoto-grapheurplasticien” was born in Niort in March 1964. He comes from the “crossing of a Savoyard and a Poitou Marsh”, as he likes to define himself. After studying cinema and working in the audiovisual industry, he returned to Niort in 1998 and began work which he described as truly personal. During a trip to Los Angeles, he bought his first polaroid. It is from this moment that the Polaroid madness wins him. To this day, he owns several thousand tightly framed portraits of people he has sometimes only met once in his life and with whom he composes.

Alain Bachet seduces us with his technique. His works resemble deconstructed puzzles to reveal to us his own vision.

His works are composed of Polaroids (real miniature works).

We can appreciate his work of assembly, association of colors, shapes.

The whole is astounding.
