Illegal Art Business – real name Dov – was born in Sarcelle in the Val-d'Oise in 1987.

When he was 9 years old he moved with his parents to Israel where he learned urban painting techniques, including stencils, drawings, and air-brush…

At 17 Dov put together a ready-to-wear collection inspired by his surroundings. In 2016, building on this experience, he released his first line of fashion-wear and a collection of trainers.

In 2018 he abruptly made the switch into contemporary art. The world of Pop Art was a veritable revelation to him; his technique broadened and he began playing with a vibrant colour palette. His family encouraged him to stick with art, so he did.

His paintings are a game of contrasts, with touches of refined, delicate nuance. Graffiti, drip paintings, even collage, come together to create canvases greatly inspired by Pop culture.

His creativity is limitless and Illegal Art Business – as he is now known – invites viewers into his world filled with fantasy and references to his childhood.
