Everything is more or less artificial. I don't know where the artificial ends and the real begins. Andy Warhol
A lost child of the 20th century, Fred Morgan seeks to find in his creations the same windy pleasure of the pioneers who inspired him. Obviously with Robert Indiana and his Love as tutelary figures. His omnipresent typographic characters claim this heritage to the letter.
We can also feel a hint of Recup'art in the style of Edward Kiehholz, between the full and the untidy. It acts as a revelation of a patent civilizational fascination for the icons of the 20th century. We are in familiar territory. But Fred Morgan leans into the bends.
