Biography

Alain Louiset is an artist from Le Havre whose work is influenced bu his city and its harbor.

For his series "Cut Container", everything started in 2006. Stuck in traffic behind a container truck, "this colorful metal box seduced me: I realized that the container could become an ideal support for my works". Using PVC boards, his work is meticulous. He reconstitutes faces on a container that he reconstructs.

Influenced by the '60s and '70s, Alain Louiset sculpts icons of those times : Andy Warhol, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, David Bowie. Welcome to Alain Louiset's pop rock harbour city universe.
