Biography
Dissonant and contrasting, reflections of an oppressive existential anxiety, Palmi Marzaroli's inks immerse us in a Gothic atmosphere. The painter perpetuates the expressionist tradition of artists such as Munch, Kirchner, Kokoschka, and De Kooning, who probed into themselves the abysses of consciousness. Marzaroli, too, sheds light on emotions and introspections, amplifying them and associating them with physical elements — human landscapes and silhouettes — with discontinuous and broken features, laden with violent tones.
From his works emerges an anguished melancholy where our fears resurface and leave us helpless. Often awarded in Europe and around the world, Palmi Marzroli has exhibited regularly since 1989.
