Eva Richard

The Ceramist Eva Richard is based in the South of France and creates unique pieces and small series of works.

Mainly in stoneware and porcelain, they are entirely created in the spirit of a handmade art.

She uses molding, turning and stamping in creating her pieces.

Her work is the expression of a search for timeless, primary and Mediterranean inspired forms.

Eva Richard's approach is sculptural.

Her favorite material is clay, both supple and hard, simultaneously uncompromising and tolerant, allows her to communicate using matter ad infinitum.

Her creations are tactile, constantly in exchange and interaction with their environment. Very graphic, the aesthetics of her pieces are also imposed by their organic forms.

The play of the piece's orientations, the play of lights on the ceramics, the dialogue between inside and outside, interaction between graphic expression and mineral matter are the main threads of her work.
