Jean-Marc Stoeffler

Passionate photographer, Jean-Marc Stoeffler has been practicing this art since the age of 13. During the long period of film photography, he developed his B&W photos himself, using a mobile laboratory that he transported as he moved.

As soon as digital cameras appeared, he admitted to having appreciated their great flexibility of use but without falling into the trap of photo editing, which can distort images in an attempt to embellish them. On a computer, he just allows himself a few cropping.

Self-taught, he has been able to perfect his art through internships, particularly in Arles with teachers from the National School of Photography.

Travel, another passion, he brings back many pictures that he will carefully select to make personal books, exhibit in salons, especially with ARTEC or the Cercle des Artistes de Paris ( second prize of the public in 2018 ), and also to publish them on the Internet.

But his objective is not to bring back the images known to all travelers, he seeks original points of view, everyday fantasies and unexpected poems.

His great pleasure is in fact to share his unique gaze with others.
