The Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg palace regularly showcases textile know-how and the artistic dimension of clothing in its facilities.

So it was only natural that he wanted to invite The Fibery, a Parisian gallery dedicated to contemporary textile art, to occupy the premises from September 24 to October 31. Through the works of the artists Karine N'guyen Van Tham, Aurore Thibout and the duo Xavier Brisoux-Isabelle Soum, a poetic universe opens up to us. The "Lineage" series by Karine N'guyen Van Tham, guardian of the premises, is enthroned in the windows of the facade and in the lobby of the hotel.

These suspended works with evocative names, Divine, Celestial, Guardian, Between heaven and earth woven with gold thread and embroidered with pine cone scales open the doors of an imaginary journey. Along the way, we are offered to our gaze the sculpted organic prints of Xavier Brisoux and Isabelle Soum made of knitted material and resin, a kind of fossil with a futuristic look. You will be caught by the well of light in the large glass roof of the reception where Aurore Thibout's art clothes are exposed, born from collaborations with Japanese master craftsmen with ancestral know-how.

These exclusive pieces woven from natural fibers, some of them wood, with vegetable dyes and prints are the result of the union between the beauty of nature and the hand of Man. To finish on a more intimate note, you will simply have to settle comfortably in the hotel's reading room to fully enjoy the cabinet of curiosities composed of works by Karine N'guyen Van Tham created especially for this space with subdued lights. These fragments and woven and embroidered front panels, a kind of unearthed vestiges of the past are presented as buried treasures found.

Thus ends this journey with textile notes, between past and present, age-old know-how and experimentation, nature and science, with a look towards the future.
