BILOUS GALLERY is pleased to present Tranquil Waters, a solo exhibition by artist Nataliia Krykun, featuring a new body of minimalist abstract seascapes rendered in oil and acrylic on canvas.

Drawing from her ongoing series "Night Lake in Ukraine," Krykun explores water as both physical landscape and inner emotional terrain. Each canvas unfolds as a meditative gradient — deep cobalt shadows dissolving into tender azure light — evoking the stillness of night waters, the infinite reach of open sky, and the quiet tension between memory and place.

Working within a restrained palette and smooth, atmospheric surfaces, Krykun invites viewers into a contemplative space where color becomes a vessel for reflection on distance, belonging, and ecological fragility. Her seascapes resist narrative in favor of sensation, asking viewers to slow down and dwell within the gradations of blue.

Tranquil Waters continues Krykun's exploration of water as metaphor — for displacement, memory, and the enduring calm beneath turbulence — offering a serene counterpoint to the urgency of contemporary environmental and personal concern.
