Pablo Martin

His search for many years has been the primitive, the primeval. Driven through a deep connection to African art and native inhabitant cultures from Latin America and all around the world, his work is inspired by rituals. The magic and the occult have always sourced his imagery.

He's interested in investigating the depths of black, using all kinds of materials that lead him to this archaic color, be it acrylics, inks, graphite, carbon and pigments.

He experiments with the passage of time within the physical mediums his work relies on, such as old found paper, vintage humid sheets, wasted wood, rusted iron and assembled ceramics.

He lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
