Arthur Bernard

The painting of the Belgian painter established in the Netherlands, all of movement and energy, is a bit like the artist who lived and became known in various countries of the world.

What immediately strikes Arthur Bernard is the flow of his moving gesture, most often incorporating painting, drawing, collages. Everything must go quickly in a combative dynamic between creation and destruction. no preconceived plan or sketch, but an idea perhaps, an inspiration on the moment, carried by the music which bathes the workshop.

The creator is carried away by the subject, who lives his own life in his hands, in a dialogue between the perceived reality and the inner impulse.
 
From this fight, from this dialogue come characters, objects, landscapes drawn in the twirling lines of energy. We distinguish these elements as surprised in their momentum and in the ambient flow of air, wind and sun.
