Chahab was born in 1951 in Tehran, residing in France since 1974, he lives and works in Nay (Pyrénées-Atlantiques).
Graduated from the Arts décoratifs of Nice, and from the École des Beaux-Arts of Aix-en-Provence, student of Henri Goetz for carburum engraving technique.
Painter, engraver, and sculptor, he plays with registers of various materials and textures. Heir to a dual culture, he likes to evoke through the imagination the ancient sites of his native Iran and during his Western training, his attraction to surrealism leads him to recreate a teeming universe of forms and colors.
