Biography
Igor Souza was born in Salvador, Brazil, in 1981. He studied architecture, and then took an interest in visual arts. He works as an artist, set designer and artistic director.
Between 2007 and 2009, he travelled to France and Germany, tasked with designing sets for Brazilian plays. His creations exploit the relationship between the artist, his work and his audience, portraying human-like figures and giving the illusion of human movement.
His work is displayed in his hometown, but also in Sao Paolo, Berlin, Porto, New York and Paris. In addition, he published a book, ‘Tres’, in 2015, and produced the film, ‘Entroncamento’.
