Biography
Born in 1954 in Popovo, Dimitar Cholakov is a Bulgarian artist.
He studied Visual arts at the National academy of Arts in Sofia, where he attended classes animated by Svetlin Rusev. In 1982, he became member of the Bulgarian artist association.
In 1990, he became the director of the Nikola Marinov art school in Turgovishte. Ten years later, he was nominated as the president of the education and Culture committee of Turgovishte. He joined the board of directors of the Bulgarian artist association and became Visual arts professor at Shoumen University.
He received several awards for his work, especially the "Olympic ideals" exhibition prize in Sofia.
