Jan Delikat

Jan Delikat is a Canadian painter, based in Montéal. Born in 1968 in Poland.

Studied painting under famous prof. Zbysław Maciejewski, and graphic arts with world-renowned prof. Andrzej Pietsch at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland.

Jan Delikat's series of cityscapes are as rich in detail and full of ordinary life. The streets of Delikat's paintings bring to mind the type of walk that uncovers the hidden splendor of a familiar route. Ordinary scenes of his native Montreal, from crosswalks to cafes and restaurants, from swimming pools to streets, appear transformed by his deft workmanship and keen sense of light.
