Biography

Born in 1945, Jean-Claude Gaillard created the BBC Foundry in Brittany in 1988, a foundry which, with its team of five people, won the prestigious “Living Heritage Company" label. In parallel with commissioned work, Gaillard produced bronzes with his team. An exercise in style that allows you to work with different alloys to test the reaction of new oxides in order to offer new patinas to artists. From this work of technical research is born a series of unique pieces, the pigs, similar and unique at the same time, since they will all be printed in a single copy.
