French artist based in Budapest, Hungary, Ludovic Thiriez (1984) works with different painting techniques on canvas in a contemporary figurative style.

Ludovic Thiriez composes his works by accumulating reading layers in which he expresses his experiences and ideas. The elements are superimposed to form complex scenarios that are rhythmic between figurative painting and abstract touches.

From his travels in Brazil and the Amazon, the artist acquires a maturity in his work, which he enriches with floral notes and an elegant bestiary. Nature and animals evolve in a poetic and dreamy universe, which he sublimates with motifs inspired by Hungarian embroidery.

In 2018, the artist won the prestigious Luxembourg Art Prize and his work is currently represented in Europe and internationally.
