Christine Bazantay

SCULPTOR

Born in Angers, passionate for the Arts-Plastiques, I was trained as a "Mouleur" at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Perpignan. I graduated in 1985 as a "Moulder".

Art has always been an integral part of my universe and my personality. My passion for sculpture quickly caught up with me and after several years of research, my creation has been oriented towards the aestheticism of the female body through dance .. My sculptures are body volumes with a mass balance or " Body and Spirit "are in true osmosis to achieve a beautiful harmony.

My research axis is the torsional movement in the dance, my women are in dance posture and their colorful pictorial dress, follows the anatomical cutting of my sculptures.

The confrontation of the "intelligence" of the hands on matter allows me to create by letting "sweat" through Emotion and Sensuality which are my key words.
