Biography
Rebecca and Olivia Vitali are twin sisters, born on August 24, 1998, in Ermont. From a young age, they developed a keen interest in the arts and literature, fueled by an insatiable curiosity and a keen eye for the world. Their university education began at the Sorbonne Nouvelle, where they graduated in 2019 with a degree in Performing Arts.
Driven by their passion for words and stories, they deepened their literary approach at Saint-Michel Notre-Dame, then at Aleph Écriture. Their journey culminated in 2024 with three demanding years at Cours Florent, where they refined their mastery of stagecraft and artistic expression.
Alongside this academic journey, the Vitali Sisters' pictorial approach is patiently developed through a dynamic of research and creative collaboration. Initiated by committed painters, they are imbued with a culture of rigor, perseverance, and authenticity.
Far from a rigid academic approach, Rebecca and Olivia forge a personal visual language, the fruit of many years of learning, experimentation and silent dialogue with the material.
Their painting draws on multiple legacies: the symbolic depth of the Renaissance, the theatricality of the Baroque, the gestural freedom of contemporary abstraction, and the vibrant energy of Pop Art. Each canvas becomes a stage space where ancient myths, figures of movement, and literary resonances intersect. The omnipresent body is both subject and vector of emotions, animated by a rich imagination and a reflection on the living.
Their creative process is entirely collaborative: shared sketches, discussed compositions, and shared visions. With four hands and two voices, the Vitali Sisters question the very notion of authorship, reconciling their differences in a shared work.
Their art is an incessant dialogue, a bridge between two individualities that, far from fading away, complement and enrich each other. Together, Rebecca and Olivia Vitali offer a vibrant, intuitive, and generous style of painting, driven by a dual signature that celebrates otherness and creative communion.
