Irène Pouvreau dite Syrène

Born in 1960 in Machecoul, Loire-Atlantique, my favorite places to relax are the beaches of the Jade Coast. Since childhood, I've loved drawing and learned painting techniques from a teacher who graduated from the Académie Française. From the age of 18, I've been exhibiting and winning awards.

By discovering diving, I created my seabeds, hence my Artist name: Syrène

I am respectful of animal protection and the natural environment. My creations allow me to express my desires for space, freedom, balance, and the beauty of nature. With quality acrylic paint and medium, I have acquired an ease of working in the present moment, with faster drying.

My passion for marine animals and the many transparent and iridescent colors allow me to create the depths of the sea, beaches and gentle or tumultuous waves.

I have exhibited at numerous exhibitions and competitions, in France and internationally.
