Biography

Ink Painter – Kokoroart

After ten years in Paris and fifteen in Madrid, Noriko Betito, born in Okayama, Japan, discovered her passion for Japanese art through ink painting and other techniques in which she continues to refine her skills. Since 2015, she has lived in Calvados (France), where she shares her universe through exhibitions centered on the art of Chinese ink and subtle presentation.

Her work reflects a fusion of these two practices, giving her a distinctive style. Her favorite themes include trees and French and Japanese landscapes, which offer her a sense of escape. Her artistic language is lyrical and poetic, often mysterious, with deliberately blurred areas that oscillate between the visible and the invisible. Inspired by Zen philosophy, her minimalist compositions use delicate Chinese ink strokes in harmony with empty spaces. Her thoughtful approach offers a spiritual void that soothes the viewer with a single glance.
