Sandrine Aléhaux

France

Originally from Albi, I now live in the upper Gironde region where my workshop is located.

Biography

After completing a Baccalaureate A3 in Visual Arts, I trained at the Bordeaux School of Fine Arts before working in the studios of Giancarlo Bargoni and Daniel Lacomme. I also enriched my training through internships with Peter Casagrande and Serge Saunière.

My artistic approach explores the notions of limits and paradoxes, between conscious and unconscious, visible and invisible. Through free abstraction, I seek to question the boundaries imposed by the human mind, evolving in a space situated between form and formlessness, tension and fluidity, silence and noise.

My subjects are inspired by the five senses, movement, and the perception of time. Elements of nature, mirrors of our emotions, are found in my pictorial work. This work translates inner landscapes nourished by the observation of circulating energies.

Color, vibrations, and the interplay of forms are central to my research, which seeks to reveal the invisible connections between things and the very essence of life. To achieve this, I use a variety of tools and media, currently favoring oil paints.
