Biography

His cultural lineage brings together Zao Wou Ki and Appollinaire, Zoran Music and Senghor, Africa, Asia, Europe…

Since his first exhibition in 1980, his work has been displayed on walls across five continents: Paris, London, Moscow, Dakar, Libreville, Washington, Nouméa, Papeete, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. Over the decades, this international presence has established a unique body of work, recognizable by its intensity and gestural style.

His painting is a language in which the experienced gesture is expressed in the material, each painting becoming a performance. His canvases abolish spatial boundaries, playing with verticality and horizontality, light and shadow. They open up an infinite depth, inviting the eye to explore beyond the material, to pass through layers and transparencies. Fundamental colors, eruptions, and tears in the world mingle in his canvases, creating a visual language that invites reflection. He conceives his canvases as interior landscapes, where emotion, memory, and humanity meet.
