Maxime Lemoyne

France • 1977

Maxime Lemoyne's work explores, through the human figure, the issues of identity, norm and invisibility, at the intersection of the intimate and the collective.

Biography

Through his work on the human figure and via drawing, graphite, spray paint or ink, Maxime Lemoyne addresses different themes specific to the individual as well as to the collective.
Identity, silence, the invisible, truth, stereotypes and uniformity, canons… subjects that are both intimate and political.
In parallel, he teaches drawing from live models, organizes exhibitions and publishes books as an extension of his artistic approach.
