Mireille Larmaraud

Mireille Larmaraud, sculptor artist, earthenware as fragile as the Earth, bronze as powerful as fire.

Originally from Isère, I've been working with clay since childhood. The creative impulse is always present within me, returning like a deep need. My professional experiences have focused on creative fields, but for the past six years, I've returned to and reconnected with clay full-time.

I underwent training to learn about and understand materials, mixtures, and modeling and sculpting techniques. I learn as my creative desires dictate.

From a young age, the theme of Woman has been central to my sculptures. I like to depict her in scenes of "everyday life," where each viewer discovers her symbolic messages. A blend of gentleness, playfulness, and mystery, her creative power draws you into her visions.

The importance of respecting the earth I shape has become more pronounced. I have discovered more intensely the magic of the link between clay and the creator, understanding what creation allows us... to Be.

Respect for our Earth, the theme of the Sphere came to express its wounds, the cracked technique like the scars of our world.

Then, as an extension of the creative process, came bronze. Discovering its world, its casting, its patinas, the Fire. I chose for a reproduction that would be an original work limited to 8+4.
