Biography

After a rich and varied artistic career, Michel Legoubé is now developing a unique approach centered on bronze in motion. His work is part of an ongoing quest for balance between strength and lightness, matter and emotion.

His creations explore the feminine world through unconventional forms, where lines unfold with great freedom. Far from classical figurative representation, they suggest movement, momentum, and metamorphosis, capturing the moment in organic, fluid compositions.

Bronze, an ancient material associated with permanence, becomes surprisingly ethereal in his hands. The negative spaces are just as important as the material itself, inviting the eye to wander and allowing the imagination to complete the forms.

The occasional incorporation of transparent elements creates a subtle dialogue between material and light, between presence and absence, between the permanent and the ephemeral. These contrasts reinforce the poetic dimension of his work and give each sculpture a perception that shifts depending on the viewing angle and the light that animates it.

Through this approach, Michel Legoubé seeks not so much to represent as to evoke: grace, energy, femininity, and movement.
