The artist centers her work on the inner quest that goes through every woman and man. Far from a practice of series or variation, each of her paintings is a story in itself, “ a journey in the land of humanity ". Dan Steffan inquires into placing her characters in a true scenography of life. To do this, she uses worn or patinated objects, “ as Man can be ".

If her characters may appear borrowed from pain or a certain burden, Dan Steffan advocates tenderness and humor in their construction. They are never entirely what they seem to be, “ a little like human beings ", for the artist.

Intimate, sometimes impudent, Dan Steffan's work is sometimes indiscreet, but always benevolent, as her gaze on the World and beings is the constituent.

Beyond her creations, the artist is attached to the “forgotten" she visits and from whom she
