Presentation
Pablito Zago is an artist originally from Avignon. Today he lives and works in Avignon. He is a self-taught multi-facetted artist: street artist, illustrator, graphic designer and musician.
He has developed a technique to manage and complete portraits with just one line. The result is surprising and somehow reminds of some works by Dubuffet, very colorful and enigmatic. There is an abstract side and a particular symbolism, very personal and dreamy in his works.
There can me multiple interpretation of his paintings, but an understanding that takes into account the ironic element is essential. A very particular element in his works is the depth opposing his almost naive and caricature-like aesthetic. His work is very technical, with a clear search for perfection from which he is never far.
