Bears was born in 1972 and founded the 90DBC with BEEONE in the early 90s. His ground of artistic expression is urban life in all its forms. Having spent a lot of time in the street, abandoned spaces and public transportation, today the essential part of his work, oscillating between abstraction and figuration, is mostly produced on canvas. The precise and colorful lines and shapes are his trademark.
He started making graffiti in 1988. He was inspired by artists such as Seen, Bando and the FBI collective, especially by Darco, because he liked their structured style and the precise finishes of their works. The transition from walls to canvas was made gradually and quite naturally because Bears started by drawing figurative works, in opposition with his tags on walls.
His purpose was, from the beginning, to realize projects that were completely different from his wall drawings, and he has reached his goal.
