Biography

Christophe Boverli is a French artist born in 1968. Graphic designer and illustrator for fifteen years, he explores during this period different techniques and pictorial approaches and expresses himself on walls, canvases, cardboards and decorations. Unconditional of figurative realism, he draws on artists like Lautrec, Monet, Andrew Wyeth, Edward Hopper and Warhol. The urban landscape is a source of inspiration. With a current and dynamic vision, he paints in oil and acrylic cities like New York and Lyon, his cities of heart, integrating in his paintings both romantic and enigmatic characters. It is also in another more graphic universe, drawn from the Street Art techniques of his early 90s that he redirects his work towards portraits of well-known characters, painted on canvas, mixing stencils and aerosols.
