Agnès Pezeu

Agnès Pezeu is a painter as if being a scientist. She searches for a moment of life, an attitude, she gives substance to an impulse. In doing so, she experiences a privileged relationship between herself, as this painter who proposes, and a model who arranges, plays her own score. Agnès Pezeu's work takes several visual forms between paintings, drawings, sculptures, videos and performances. It allows her to make the link between encounters and places and to always be connected to history and humanity. She invents and creates monumental installations on an industrial site in Issy les Moulineaux, in the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris and tells the story of the water of the Domaine National de Saint Cloud through the means of Contemporary Art in a monumental installation throughout the Park.

His work is always connected to the body, whether in his installations, his videos, his performances or his paintings. Since 2007, she has been creating paintings using charcoal to outline real bodies. Once this drawing around the body, the model has left, she begins to paint using “dripping". The painting takes shape horizontally to be presented vertically, which allows you to create a particular story depending on the reading direction. She carries out the same principle of works with wild animals from the Jardin des Plantes. His work is presented in New York, Paris and Japan.
