Biography

Bathed in the influences of the expressionists of Central Europe, AP Korenberg maintains in his abstractions a figurative detail, an anchor point so as not to tip over, as he puts it, into shadowy areas: "It is not figurative abstract, but to get there it's a bit of a puzzle because it leads to places where you should perhaps not go ”. His World Gone, AP. K. tried to extend it, working at the Beaux-Arts, the American Center and the Grande Chaumière. Not finding sufficient echo in Paris for his work, he turned to Germany where his painting was better received. For 20 years Korenberg has locked himself in: “I went to the window and watched the world go by”.
