Djamel Mahious was born in Chambéry in Savoy. Self-taught painter inspired by Abstract Expressionism. He lived and worked in Paris for more than 10 years where he was able to deepen his knowledge, his techniques and get rich in contact with museums and galleries. He is the author of paintings rich in materials and colors, lively emotions. His work questions, but never leaves indifferent. His creative process is a mixture of materials. He gives pride of place to the use of plaster, mortar, paper. This set is worked on the canvas before the work is revealed and takes shape under the influence of painting.
