Julie Navarro

Julie Navarro was born in 1972 and lives between Beauvais (Creuse) and Paris. She is interested in issues about territory, memory and time. She is always in search of new interpretations, in which fiction and eternity are more important than reality. Julie Navarro uses varied techniques, and her works are constructed in a dialogue with history and the viewer.

Her immaterial works that she calls "Social structures" are the result of collective actions whose goal is to produce new ideas, a sensible mapping of territories, a dynamc tissue, a clarifying perception of the world that is always in movement. These works exist first of all thanks to the involvement of the people she meets. These works are about memory, alterity and identity.

Julie Navarro's work has been featured by numerous galleries in France and abroad.
