Olivier Courty started to produces sculptures in the early 2000s. He is a sculptor of animals; he decided to specialize in animal sculpture during a visit to the zoo, when he noticed the stregth in the gaze of a gorilla. He uses clay, a flexible material that has the capacity to capture and render all his creative energy.

Extremely contemporary, Olivier Courty's animal sculptures have wonderfully produced volumes and a liveliness that captures their postures, their movement and the power in their eyes.

These subjective representations are the result of continuous research, the expression of the artist's spontaneity as an answer to the richness of the animal world for which he has so much respect and appreciation.
