Bronze Sculpture for Sale
Born in 1883, Maurice Utrillo was a French painter. Most widely known for his depictions of Parisian streets and buildings, Utrillo initially imitated the works of his mother, artist Susanne Valadon, before finding his own distinctive style.
Utrillo's paintings particularly featured the streets of Montmartre, the neighborhood in which he was born and where he spent most of his life. Utrillo experienced a successful artistic career, receiving the French Legion of Honor in 1928. His works can be found in the permanent collections of several prominent institutions including the Musée d'Orsay and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Utrillo died in France in 1955.
