Biography

Lise Sartorio is a French artist born in 1970. She comes from the world of sculpture (price of the foundation of the Assembly in Paris in 1992) and of the performance.

Artist attached to the national scene in Cavaillon in the period 2002 to 2008, she worked with the House of the gesture and the Image in Paris since 2009. Among its recent performance and facilities noticed: ""Whore i love you"", presented at the Palais de Tokyo and at the Theater de Chaillot in collaboration with Arte; temporary exhibition to "Elles@Centre Pompidou" to the Beaubourg Museum; "common ground" during the Nuit Blanche in 2010.

Influenced by his training in plastic, its photographic work questionning the space between: two places, two beings, two words, two arts, two time. Sum of spaces of the middle or flues, its images overlap the genera, between photography and cinema, photography and drawing, photograph and object. Attached to the narrative, Lisa Sartorio seeks by its extensions of the photographic field to exceed the moment to tell of moments.

"My work draws in the movement, in the space in become a be of a thing or of an implementation. Starting from a real that I am undertaking as a space to break right, fragment and fictionner i put in scene the process of figuration and processing immanent to the act of creating and thinking".
