Barbara Lavenda

Barbara Lavenda was born in 1970 in Champigny sur Marne, in France. And today lives and works in Caen. She studied graphic and illustration design at I.S.C.O.M graphic school in Paris (1990-1992).

With a background in graphic design and a passion for painting and sculpture, Barbara Lavenda started her career in the years 2000 but had to interrupt it for personal reasons. She returns to her creation activity with passion and the envy to share.

Her work is based on two obsessions, humans and nature; with always the aim to work in transparency so the look is as active as possible. Say enough but never too much so the dream is always present. She mixes the techniques even if they are rebelling: inks and oils; words can be part of it as a visual language.

The creations are of any size depending of what she wants to express.
