Biography
Born in 1955 in Bourg en Bresse (France), Pierre Barillot had the good fortune to master the art of representation, and from a very young age, drawing expressed the universe of his imagination.
At 16, Pierre Barillot wrote the news for a regional daily newspaper, and then his career as an architect offered him the paths of spatial construction, the wealth and happiness of being able to realize his dreams in stone.
For many years now, painting has joined his palette of artistic expression.
On his canvases, the drawing exists of course but also the generous, velvety, bewitching paste, sculpted with assurance in the most audacious colors sometimes.
Omnipresent movement, enriched with matter and light, represents the world and life. Always eager to explore, discover, and play with ever-reinvented gestures and tones, Pierre Barillot lets himself be guided by his dreams, using a sensitive and extremely controlled language.
