Adrien Faveau

Adrien Faveau is a French artist born in 1983. After studying business, he returned quickly to his passion for painting.

His favorite subjects are the city and urban life. Adrien Faveau captures ephemeral.ordinary moments of beauty in our everyday life and represents them in his pieces. Although great monuments sometimes appear in his paintings, they are in the background and the artist focuses mainly on the streets-the traffic jams, street furniture, pedestrians- and their constant movement.

The teeming life of great megacities such as San Francisco, New York, Paris, the Hague etc are his main inspiration.

Adrien Faveau creates his paintings in an impressionist manner, with brushes, knives, swabs, squeegees and printing rollers. He then creates some material effects by scratching the paint with solvents, resulting in a unique look of rain or light. His favorite support is wood, because of its smooth surface which gives way to a multitude of effects.

The artist works from photographs he takes himself, and each work is a combination of several shots.

The artist also paints portraits in baroque scenes where he represents the density of the city with a aesthetically charged decoration.
