Biography

MoFu paints the woman. He paints faces, focus, bodies, portraits.
He paints scenes of life as well.
But we can ask ourselves the question: Why the woman?
Because all women are beautiful, plural, magical, mysterious and they are so much smarter, more generous, richer than man!

In his paintings, MoFu talks about women and he talks to women
He represents women, he invents, he reproduces and more than trying to achieve at all costs portraits that resemble models, it is his emotion that he transcribes with his colors, brushes, brushes.

A portrait is a moment but it's never the person; depending on the feelings, states of mind, emotions felt by the model but also by the painter, the same face represented on a painting can give the impression of being that of an entirely different person.

What interests MOFU above all is to tell a story in
seizing this moment, restoring with his own sensitivity, the light, fleeting and so ephemeral exchange that occurs between the artist and what returns the model; the intensity of a look, a smile, a pout.

Made in large formats, diptychs or triptychs, acrylic on canvas or charcoal, his representations of women are reflections of moments, of encounters, scenes of life, people crossed in the street, and also, actresses, singers, personalities such as Bardot, Birkin, Faye Dunaway, Jane Fonda, Kate Moss, Juliette Binoche and many others. The influences of MOFU are the black and white photo that allows to distance itself from reality and also the work of Peter Lindbergh, photographer fashion genius, her sensual, aesthetic approach that magnifies and respects the woman.
