Biography

Born in Corsica in 1939, Artist Stéphane Chisa never left the Island of beauty.

In his work, two elements are omnipresent: women and light. Very often, they are associated to the beach. He makes canvases burning with passion for the incandescence of the sun and the feminine beauty. His friend and poet André Giovanni says about him "This man has meditated about the teaching of the great masters. For the magic of colors; Gauvin, Van Gogh, and Georges Braque who creates a sensibility which is almost aerial in the nets of a rigurous compositions. Chisa cites as well, among his main influences, the orphism of Robert Delaunay and the living tasks of Nicolas de Stael".

Chisa exhibits her work in French galleries.
