Charlotte Abercassis was born in 1962 in Le Havre. She graduated from the Superior School of Applied Arts of Paris in 1986. The artist lives and works in Paris and is a member of the Taylor Foundation.
The artist gets inspired by her daily life and her childhood memories but also from the culture of ancient civilizations (Japan, Persia, East) which explains the high sensibility and the emotional charge that her paintings transmit.
Color is the central part of her pieces. A game of light and shades, each canvas is an opportunity to create new poetic vocabulary for her. However, the personages remain the major element: her characters seem immersed in a parallel world, an endless dream.
Exhibited in Germany and France, she participated in the Autumn Salon and created, in 2011, the Circle of Artists.
